NVIDIA upgraded the 2002 Dawn-DEMO with enhanced textures and superrealistic hair movements with its GeForce-GTX Cards and DirectX 11

PowerMac 6100 restored and working again
For a few Weeks I got a low priced PowerMac 6100 from eBay. The guy said that it might work but he could not test the Mac due to the missing Monitor.

At teh Right you can see the rosty back side connectors;
Inside look after replacing the Hard Disk and with the CD and Floppy drive installed;

Front view with the case mounted (I sprayed the case in white);
Back view with all the connectors and the new Bezel;
This is the refurbished PowerMac 6100 with an Apple Extend Keyboard II connected
Just couldn't resist to try Space Quest 6 on it; (works great!)
In my next Blog I will go into depth with the installation of the System as well as the special HDI-45 connector and all the Upgrades I installed.
Thank you for reading

When I received the Mac I couldn't believe what I saw! The back bezel was broken at several places, and the motherboard with the backside connectors where completely rousty. This Baby was surely laying in a dirty wet cave for a long time. Of course the guy from eBay took only photos of the exterieur an the Front Panel. The CD Cover on the front was loose because of a brocken plastic thing.
Otherwise the specs of this Mac are as follow:
PowerMac 6100
- Introduced on March 1997
- Mac OS 7.1.2
- PowerPC 601 / 60MHz (first Mac with Motorola PowerPC processor)
- Storage 160MB HardDrive (SCSI)
- Apple 600i 2x CD ROM
- Memory 8MB on Board antother 2x8MB 72pin SIMMS (total of 24MB)
Connectors:
- 1 ADB
- 1 HDI-45 (Display Connector)
- 1 Geoport Modem Port
- 1 Apple Serial Printer Port
- 1 Ethernet (AUII)
- 1 SCSI Port
- 1 Audio In an Audio Out Jack
So here are some of the first Photos of the Mac:
The inside with the HD, CD-ROM and Floppy removed;
