Nebulus game for many Platforms

Today I realy enjoyed to play the good old Nebulus game.
Nebulus was published back in 1980 for many different platform.

In the 90's I used myself to play it on MS DOS PC386 an was immediatly passionated by the gameplay of turning Tower. Other ports of the game are, Castelian for the GameBoy, Kyorochan Land, Subline and Tower Toppler(for the iPhone)

Today I used to play Nebulus in DOSBox emulator "Boxer"
Boxer is a very good DOS emulator and works very well on my iMac with Lion installed!
You can get it for free at http://boxerapp.com/

These screenshots are taken directly from the Emulator on my Mac;

Getting over the first tower was very hard (i'm not a good gamer) but I enjoy the game.
You can find several youtube videos of the game; just search for Nebulus.

Because I love the game so much, I decided to buy it for my Game Boy (Castlian)

So stay tuned for a another review of the Game Boy version ;-)

My Nintendo GameBoy Advanced SP

This is my new GameBoy Advance SP, wich I recently purchased for 30€ on eBay;

The Gameboy Advance SP M101 was the first model wich came with a backlit screen in 2005. It is very nice to see the old GB games on this display. Everything is much lighter and better than the crappy non-backlit displays from the older Gameboy Advanced or from the Gameboy Color.

I like this GB and was very pleased to play some of my favorite titles like Donkey Kong Country and Batman.

Hi to my new Blog

Today I decided to run a Blog over old computers and software. They so called retro computers, games and software are often forgotten gems and well worth to take a look at them.
I like to collect old stuff like retro games for PC/Mac and also consoles lile the Nintendo Gameboy.

My favorite Platform is the Apple Macintosh, wich I use since 1992! Before I owned a ATARI 800XL and the well known ATARI ST.

I recently bought a Nintendo Gameboy Advanced SP from eBay, wich I will take a deeper look at my next Blog entry.

So stay tuned and have fun with good old Computer Stuff...
